A Brief History of Mike's Racing Heads
Mike's
Racing Heads was first opened in West Chester, Pennsylvania by
Mike Androwick Sr. in 1987. Prior to opening his own business
he had worked for some very successful engine builders and
cylinder head shops such as; Brandywine cylinder heads,
Nickens and Brown, John Lingenfelter and Joe Lepone Jr.
Working for these top rate shops, Mike was able to gain years
of experience in a rather short period of time. In 1997 Mike
purchased a 5 axis CNC machine to handle the work load and
reproduce the custom cylinder heads he was hand porting.
In 2000
Mike was offered an opportunity to work with legendary Pro
Stock engine builder Richard Maskin at Dart Machinery in Troy,
Michigan. It was a tough decision to make, but the passion and
desire to work with Pro Stock engines was still Mike's primary
goal. So in February 2000 Mike and his family moved to
Michigan to take on a new challenge and fulfill a lifelong
goal. That very same year Dart engines powered Jeg Coughlin to
the NHRA Pro Stock Championship. From 2002 - 2005 Mike worked
with Larry Morgan's Pro Stock team alongside Bob Glidden, and
as a team they made huge strides in the Pro Stock ranks.
Working with and learning from the people that Mike has worked
with in the past 24 years is something to be grateful for.
Mike
and his family have since relocated to Concord, North Carolina
and have reopened Mike's Racing Heads. Now Mike is able to
offer his customers the same race winning technology that the
Professionals are using.
